Founders
Insan Wisata Kids was born from Hanif and Reza’s concern that children are growing increasingly disconnected from nature, local culture, and everyday community life. While many field trips and educational tours are available today, they saw that most focus more on recreation than on meaningful learning experiences that nurture curiosity, empathy, and character.
At the same time, more young families are seeking enriching opportunities where children can play, explore, and learn with purpose. Across Indonesia, countless natural and cultural destinations hold incredible educational potential, yet many have not been thoughtfully designed to match children’s stages of growth and development.
From this vision, Insan Wisata Kids was created—not simply as a children’s tour organizer, but as a learning travel ecosystem that connects Little Explorers and their families with nature, culture, and local communities through safe, engaging, and meaningful experiences.

When was Insan Wisata Kids founded?
Insan Wisata Kids was established in 2023. Although we’re still a young organization, we’ve partnered with more than seven destinations across Indonesia and developed a variety of educational programs from the ground up. Our journey begins by discovering each destination’s unique potential, empowering local communities through training, and transforming these places into meaningful learning experiences for Little Explorers and their families.
What makes Insan Wisata Kids different from other tour operators?
Every program we offer is built around the following principles:
- Clear learning outcomes – Every journey is designed with age-appropriate educational objectives, not just a schedule of activities.
- Small group sizes – Each group is limited to a maximum of 10 participants, ensuring every Little Explorer receives personal guidance and attention.
- A child-centered learning approach – Children are encouraged to learn through hands-on experiences, exploration, and real-world problem-solving rather than one-way instruction.
- A commitment to community impact – Every program contributes positively to local communities and supports environmental sustainability.
- Insurance coverage – Little Explorers and their families can enjoy every adventure with greater peace of mind.
How do you work with local communities?
We don’t simply use a destination as a venue for our programs. Instead, Insan Wisata Kids partners with local communities to co-create meaningful and sustainable experiences. Our collaboration includes identifying and developing each destination’s unique potential, transforming it into an educational tourism program, providing tourism and hospitality training for local residents, piloting programs together, and jointly promoting the destination.
Our partnerships typically last for a minimum of two years and are formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). We believe that creating lasting, positive impact requires time, mutual commitment, and long-term collaboration.
How are our Play Companions selected and trained?
Our Play Companions are much more than tour guides. We carefully select individuals who have a genuine passion for environmental conservation, social impact, and community empowerment.
Before leading any program, they undergo training to interpret the natural and cultural surroundings and transform what they observe into meaningful learning experiences for Little Explorers. Rather than simply providing information, they facilitate discovery by encouraging children to ask questions, observe closely, think critically, and learn through firsthand experience.
Their learning doesn’t stop after training. Every journey is an opportunity for Play Companions to continue developing their skills, gaining new insights, and growing alongside the children and families they guide through real-world experiences with Insan Wisata Kids.
